Championship Rules – West Michigan Region SCCA

Must compete in a minimum of 3 events to qualify
In the event of a tie, place will be shared, multiple trophies will be given (if it’s a place we award a trophy)
Any driver, regardless of membership, is eligible.
WMR reserves the right to add or subtract to the number of events, due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
Only events designate as “race” or “for points” count towards championship points. Practice, “Test and Tune” and “Driver School” events do not qualify for points.
Trophies will be awarded after last event in championship series

1st place = 100 points
2nd, 3rd, etc…. are given points based on a percentage of the fastest time in class.
Example 56.874 / 59.345= .95836 *100 = 95.836 rounded to 2 places = 95.84 points
DNS or DQS = 0 points

Fastest Driver (all) + Class (all classes competed, overall) + Fastet Driver PAX (all) = Overall points
All events count towards championship
1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies will be awarded.

A driver may win a Class Championship in only one Class, but may compete in additional classes.
Points earned in additional classes do apply to overall points.
Must have a minimum of 3 events in your competing class, if you Qualify for 2 classes, the class with highest placement and other drivers will become default, unless otherwise noted
If you meet the minimum number of events for 2 classes, the class with highest placement and other drivers will become default, unless otherwise noted
If you do not meet the minimum number of events in any class, class points still apply to Overall
Trophies, Minimum of 1st will be awarded and then every 3 drivers an additional place will be given (2nd at 4 drivers, 3rd at 7 drivers)
Top 3 events count towards championship
